Instant pot (electric pressure cooker)
If I had to live with just one kitchen gadget, it would be instant pot. I love electric pressure cooking, its smart, quick and clean. I previously owned a rice cooker but I hated to use that because it would take longer to cook and took much longer to clean. I love the fact that it has stainless pot. I know I used love in almost all the sentence :) I genuinely do! click the link below to learn the benefits of electric pressure cooking.
kitchenaid coffee grinder
There is nothing like the smell of freshly ground coffee in the morning. My husband loves fresh filter coffee. It reminds him of the days where he got to drink fresh coffee ground with hand mill by his grand parents. I love this coffee grinder, it has single touch grinding option. I linked the product details below
kitchenaid hand blender
I use this for whip and blending smoothies, lassi, spinach kootu, chopping and gravy. Love to use it to blend anything right off the stove.
PREETI BLUE LEAF MIXER GRINDER
There is no indian kitchen without a mixie grinder. This mixie came with the large and small container but I purchased a medium container to go along with this. I use this mostly for grinding chutney's and podi's. The large container for making adai, pesarattu batter.
Ultra 1.25 lts table top grinder
Before we had a idli lover at home, I used to make idli/dosa batter with the mixer grinder. Now that my daughter loves idli I use the grinder. I wanted something that could fit inside the cabinet and not so heavy. This perfectly fits my needs.
cuisinart panini grill
I often enjoy grilled panini also I love to use this for paneer tikka and grill potatoes for dum aloo. This is perfect for my morning toast & sometimes dosa too :) This has grill on one side of the plate and griddle on the other side.
oxo grater and shredder
I love oxo products, they are all well thought and designed for ease of use. This is great because it comes in a storage container with 4 different blades. I use almost everyday from mincing ginger, green chilli's, making vegetable juliennes and shredding.
Kitchenaid (3pcs) knife set
I like a big all purpose chef's knife for chopping and dicing. The seretted knife for cutting juicy fruits and vegetables like tomatoes. It is mostly used to cut meat though. The small knife for peeling and sliting chilli's.
OXO can opener
I have tried few can openers, the fancy ones, the normal one's even the battery operated one's. But this is awesome, I love the fact that when I open the can I don't have to worry about cleaning the can opener too. This oxo can opener cuts the perfectly outside the top lid and you can reuse the lid too. As I said earlier I love OXO p
Reusable silicone baking sheet
I am only using this for a year now, but I wish I had know sooner about this. This is a reusable silicone cookie sheet which can be used in place of parchment paper / aluminium foil in baking. I used this for various purposes. I bake cookies, broil eggplants, reheat pizza's. But mostly I use this to roll chapathi's / phulkhas on the kitchen counter. It wont slide and easy to clean. The only down side is that its not dishwasher safe. But it never bothered me anyway.
IMUSA MORTAR AND PESTLE
Everyone will have a kitchen dream. In mine I wanted all the traditional kitchen gadgets / utensils used by our great grand mothers. Just so we dont lose our tradition. Though I love gadgets like instant pot which makes our life easier, I like the experience I get when I use this. Stories aside, I mainly use this for making pachadi, some chutneys, pastes (ginger, garlic, green chilli), sometimes even for roughly grounding spices
Oxo steamer rack
I use this almost everyday. I steam the vegetables in instant pot with this steamer rack. This is deep and flexible. This will fit in almost any cooking pot. The wonderful part is it stores perfectly in the cabinets, just roll and dump.
Progressive storage container
I love to use this for vegetables like cabbage and greens. They stay fresh much longer in refrigerator even when its cut.
Vidalia Pro chopper
This is great for dicing veggies. This is relatively easy to dice when you learn the trick :) I mainly use this for carrots, beets, onions :)
