3 No cook breakfast ideas
I am all about no cook breakfast. Especially for my family routine, we all enjoy no cook breakfast. Here are few of our favorites. Don't forget to leave a comment below if you would like to see more recipe ideas like this.
1. BERRY BLAST SMOOTHIE
Make your own smoothie with this trick
Layer 1 - LIQUID BASE (Yogurt / Fruit juice / Milk)
Layer 2 - FRUITS / VEGGIE + GREENS (OPTIONAL) -
Layer 3 - Optional - FOR ADDED PROTEIN (NUT BUTTER / OATS / SEEDS)
I recommend you to try grapefruit and blueberry together. Yum Yum! This is a great way to fuel us on a busy day.
2 . CREAM CHEESE SANDWICH / TOAST
I am not a jam and butter kind of person. I like my toast or sandwich savory and loaded with veggies. If you are like me you will love this simple stir and serve cream cheese recipe.
Mix cream cheese, thinly diced (tomato, bell pepper, cabbage) , mustard sauce, a dash of honey. Spread on a healthy bread. I recently started purchasing this sprouted bread from silver hills sprouted bakery.
Optionally toast the bread and add few cucumber pieces on top to make it crunchy and refreshing.
3. CHIA SEED PUDDING
If you just started introducing seeds into the diet. Chia seed is perfect. When stirred and soaked it expands and almost tastes like tapioca seeds. This a good source of protein and can be indulged in without any guilty feelings.
Did you know chia seed expands upto 10 times its weight. Remember to shake or stir well before soaking, before making it soft and chewable. Soak at least 20 mins or overnight.
Add sweetener, vanilla bean paste, milk of your choice and top it with fruits and shredded coconut.
I usually soaked chia seeds in toasted almond coconut milk, agave, vanilla bean paste. YUm!
