Corn Bhel (Sweet Corn Salad)
Sweet corn is my all time favorite, but i try not to eat it very often because its rich in carbohydrates, yet i fail :) Some how i end up eating it anyway. But there is a better and healthier alternative . Good Isn't? You can split 1 complete serving of just sweet corn into 1/2 cup sweet corn and 1/2 veggies :)
Preparation time: 10 mins
Cooking time: 3 - 5 mins
Serves - 2
INGREDIENTS:
- Corn Kernels - 1 cup
- Onion - 1/4 th cup (finely chopped)
- Tomato - 1 small (finely chopped and deseeded)
- English Cucumber - 1/4th cup shredded
- salt - to taste
- Red chilli powder - 1/2 tsp or to taste
- Chat Masala - 1/2 tsp (Optional)
- Lemon Juice - squeezed from 1/2 lemon
- Sev - 2 tbsp
- Cilantro / Coriander leaves - few strands
DIRECTION:
Cook the corn kernels until they are tender. Meanwhile cut the veggies and keep it ready.
Once the corn is cooked add all the ingredients together and give it a stir.
Sweet corn salad is ready to serve. It is perfect for a little evening snack or when you have some unexpected guests at home. It is so very easy to make and if you are corn lover you will enjoy !!! :)
