Oatmeal Apple smoothie

INGREDIENTS:

  • Apple - 1 (chopped)

  • Oats - 1/4 th cup (I used Quaker Oats)

  • Yogurt - 1 cup

  • Honey - 1 tbsp (or to taste)

This was the recipe that my husband made me when I was sick. Instead of biting through we are going to drink through our breakfast.

1 cup of this smoothie is good enough for breakfast. No time for breakfast? Work calling you? or have a fuzzy kid. This is one of the best way to sneak in fruits

I recommend to give it a try, 'An apple a day keeps doctor away' ;)

Soak and cook the oats until mashable consistency. Once reached room temperature add yogurt, oats and apple and blend smoothly.

Note:

  1. Choose an apple which is sweet in nature. Try to avoid sour apple.

  2. Same is the case with yogurt / curd, use it before it becomes sour, it spoils the taste.

  3. If you are really not a yogurt person you can try it with milk, using yogurt gives a special taste like Lassi :)

  4. If you are watching calories you can use Low fat yogurt and honey !! If the apple is sweet the sweetener wont be necessary at all.
