Priority chef - Potato ricer

Aloo paratha is an ultimate comfort food and there is no one who will say no to a large dhabha style pillowy soft and delicate aloo paratha. To achieve the perfect texture, you need the potato filling to be smooth and lump free. This potato ricer from priority chef works wonderfully for this.

What to look for in a potato ricer?

  • Easy to clean?

  • Easy to Store?

  • Multi purposeful?

  • Ergonomical?

  • Built with good quality materials?

The fine grit disc gives smooth potatoes. It also has an extra long handle which is easy on the wrists and rests well on pots with the help silicone hanging hooks. I like that I don’t have to peel the potato skin, to be able to get a lump-free potato filling. It saves me so much time. The skins came off with very little wastage. It squeezes potatoes really smoothly with very little effort. It doesn’t require any additional set up to assemble before using, also it comes out sparkly clean from the dishwasher.

A good quality ricer should be able to pulverize and mash it without any effort, although it takes up quite a bit of storage space in the cabinets, It is a great trade in options for time. Imagine trying to peel boiled potato skin, while it's pipping hot. The huge pocket handles 3 or 4 yukon gold potatoes or 1 medium sized russet potato. I just made sure not to overfill so the potatoes will overflow from the top. All in all I have been enjoying this potato ricer.
