Ridge gourd dal

If there could be any quick and easy fix for a busy day it would be this recipe. It is just absolutely delicious and easy to make.

One day my mom actually saw me just slicing the ridge gourd vertically and scooping the flesh out of it with a spoon, she was amazed by it with a sigh of relief and said 'well this is simple'. I never knew some people actually think peeling the ridge gourd skin as a tough job.  I've been doing like this ever since i started cooking ridge gourd. Believe me its way much easier and less wastage than using a peeler.

once its tender add salt, tomato,  moong dal and water (1:3). Pressure cook it until 3 whistles. Once the pressure goes off open and serve it hot phulka's or Jeera rice. Its as simple as that.
